It is my privilege to be the coach of the 2021 U13 St Anthony's Angels West team. I've had a passion for baseball since I was a young Blue Jays fan running around my backyard pretending to be Kelly Gruber and Jimmy Key. That passion led me to playing little league in Aylmer Quebec where I moved onto the AAA Outaouais Lynx team. I then played several seasons with the Ottawa Nationals AAA baseball team as a pitcher. From the Ottawa Nationals I went onto play two seasons with the Diamant du Quebec in Quebec city in the major junior elite baseball league. From there I had tryouts with multiple professional teams but circumstances pushed me to leave baseball and start working.
During my playing time I travelled the USA and Canada playing in some of the most prestigious baseball tournaments and learning about the game of baseball. I had some great coaches and some really bad coaches. I'm grateful for both the good and bad coaches for helping mold the kind of coach I want to be.
I see my job as the coach of the U13 team is to teach the game of baseball and put the players in an environment that challenges them mentally and physically. My philosophy is that nothing is more important that hard work and respect for the game. I will constantly put the players in challenging situations knowing that growth and confidence will come from succeeding after failure.
I have numerous sports certifications and I'm constantly pushing myself to learn more to give the players the best possible training I can provide.
